This pasta pot cost less than 20 bucks and it is wonderful! All of the other pasta lids don't lock so you dump your spaghetti right down the drain! This is also teflon coated and it has held up well. I bought this pasta pot about 3 years ago and I have never used anything else ever sense.
This is the only pot we ever use.

We haved loved this pot! I think we bought it about 3-4 years ago. It is so easy to use. The locking lid makes it a cinch to drain pasta without a colander, and eliminating one extra thing to wash is always a bonus. We use it for everything. It's also much lighter weight than those big strainer pots, so it's easier to lift and manuever. We've never had a problem getting the lid off, so perhaps the person who had a problem with it just had a bent pot. I have to say that we have really "abused" our pot. We sometimes put it in the dishwasher. We use it once or twice a day and it's looking pretty well loved at this point. It's still functional, but there are some scratches on the bottom, and I think we should replace it. But we've gotten a lot of use out of it. And I can't believe how reasonable it is now. I am going to buy a few more and keep them for future use. One other thing...I was trying to find this pot online and had a hard time finding it. What kept coming up in my search was the oval pasta pot by Rachel Ray -- which is selling for $60 - $100.00. That's outrageous! And, although it is the same great oval shape that is good for spaghetti, it doesn't appear to have a locking mechanism, and that is essential to making this a useful pot. Otherwise, you have to find a way to hold the lid on while you're pouring out water through it. I highly recommend this pot. I was worried that I might not find another one.
recommended!

Very affordable, this nonstick pasta cooker is working nicely for us. The lid really locks in so you can safely pour the boiling water into the sink.
Best Pasta Pot Ever Invented and Only $20 - A no brainer!!!!

I looked all over the Internet for the right sized and type of pasta cooker. What I found was lots of very expensive stainless steel pots with un-insulated handles. Pretty but stainless steel transfers heat very slowly and metal handles and tops require hand protection. Conversely, this pot heats rapidly and has insulated handles.

I have now used it numerous times and love it. For once my wife admits I got it right this time. Never saw water boil so fast. Putting the cover on and taking it off is a non-problem. Can't understand the individual who had a problem. This thing is an absolute gem AND ONLY $20 vs. $100!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad the pot isn't available at this time. Nothing else on the market can compare with it and the price is right at $20.00!!!!
happy buyer
